See Tiny Houses on the National Mall, 6/1-6/5!
National Association of Home Builders and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development are co-hosting the inaugural Innovative Housing Showcase. Importantly, tiny houses are represented! It’s a free 5-day event featuring new building technologies and housing solutions. The focus is on making housing more affordable for American families and homes more resilient during natural disasters.
By being included in this event, tiny houses are further legitimized as an innovative solution to a wide range of housing needs. This is an important opportunity to speak directly to policymakers to give them a greater understanding of tiny house benefits.
The Innovative Housing Showcase is open to the public. Additionally, lawmakers and leaders in the housing industry will be in attendance. Tour building technology exhibits, featuring a container house and two to three tiny houses on wheels. Like, Build Us Hope’s Big Blue, a 32′ three-bedroom. Their exhibit will also feature a model of the veterans’ micro homes as currently in-use at their V13 tiny home village in Phoenix.
